I got spammed?
Well I guess there must be an exploit in Mambo or something, I come back after about 6 months of no updated to find over 600 comments. At first I'm thinking "the internet must have become really really boring in the last 6 months." Then I look and them and they're all for porn..... I WIN! Where's my advertising cheques? I'll try to find a patch or fix for this, if I can't then I'll have to restrict comments to members. Or.... maybe I could move to one of the major blogosphere sites, but I like being independent.- Details

I know what I'm doing this summer
So I never update. I'll try to do better, not that anyone actually reads this. So my new new plan (always thinking) is this new fancy shmancy journal section (i.e. blog). I'm finally starting to do some personal work so I'll just document what I'm doing, how I'm doing it (high level) and how I'm progressing. So here's what I'm doing now....

I suck at posting updates
I find it amazing how as soon as I actually have a job my drive to do work and research at home just disappears. After working hard all day I just don't want to work more when I get home. So I just play games (current Age of Empires 3) or practice piano. I really 'want' to add content to this site, but it all depends on when I feel like doing it. I've mostly written my article on compile time hashing but I just can't pull myself to finish it.Also, I really need to mention that being a build engineer is hard work. Making sure everything stays working on a project like Turok is a full time job. I also have to find the time to improve the pipeline. Needless to say I don't feel like working when I get home. Here's hoping to finding some energy soon.

Take your code for a Test Drive
I find it surprising how little I actually hear about XP programming and Test Driven Development (TDD). I'm not going to go in depth about the subject of TDD but I will share my thoughts and give a step-by-step guide on how to setup a cxxtest project that makes doing TDD with c++ easier than ever. For more information about TDD you can look at Games from Within. Noel Lopis goes very in-depth on the subject and has a lot of information about the different solutions available.
